| Thallus to 6 cm wide, with marginal lobes ascending, adnate in small thalli, broadly lobate, thin to moderately thick, sometimes fenestrate, with radiating ridges and pustules especially older parts, matt, sometimes glossy at margins, olive-green, sometimes bluish green; isidia absent. Lobes few, imbricate, round, sometimes elongate. Apothecia dense, to 1.5 mm wide, laminal, especially on ridges, sessile, with constricted base, sometimes broadly pedicellate; disc flat becoming convex, grey-blue or white becoming red; pruina thick when young, sometimes almost absent on older apothecia; thalline exciple thin to moderately thick, entire, smooth or wrinkled, persistent. Asci 43–78 × 60–92 µm, clavate to subcylindrical. Ascospores 40–60 × 4.5–15 µm, straight or curved, narrowly fusiform to broadly acicular, 6–10-celled, rarely constricted at septa. Pycnidia common, submarginal or laminal, to 200 µm wide. Conidia 4–5 × 1.5 µm, straight, usually swollen towards ends. | ||
| Occurs in S.A., N.S.W., Vic. and Tas. Widely distributed in the Southern Hemisphere where it occurs in tropical and temperate habitats. Grows on bark. | ||
